Roque Mesa to make Sevilla loan switch

Despite their recent shock win over Liverpool, Swansea remain rooted to the bottom spot of the Premier League table, and there have been a number of high profile players linked with a move to the Welsh club in order to help in their fight against relegation. Roque Mesa however looks to be a player on his way out of the club, and his loan switch to La Liga side Sevilla is immanent, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

The midfielder only joined the Swans in the summer, and has managed just 11 Premier League appearances so far this season. Despite arriving from Las Palmas amidst a lot of excitement and optimism, the Spaniard has failed to make an impact in a Swansea shirt.

It is little surprise then that Carlos Carvalhal is looking to move him on, and Sevilla are willing to offer him a chance to return to his native Spain on loan. Los Nervionenses currently sit sixth in La Liga table, and will be looking to push for a Champions League spot come the end of the campaign.
