Samuel out for two weeks

Inter Milan have been dealt a blow ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League tie against Lille, with Walter Samuel will unavailable due to injury.

The centre back suffered the injury, to the flexor muscle in his right leg, during Inter’s 2-1 Serie A loss to Catania on Saturday.

The 33-year-old underwent tests at the San Matteo Polyclinic after suffering pain in the rear of his leg in the match in Sicily, and he is expected to miss around two weeks.

That rules Samuel out of beleaguered boss Claudio Ranieri’s squad for Tuesday’s trip to Lille.

Inter sit second in Champions League Group B, one point behind Turkish leaders Trabzonspor.
