Competition: MLS

Market: San Jose win

Odds: 13/10 @ Bet 365

With the chance to climb as high as second in the Western Conference, San Jose will travel to Colorado in the early hours of Sunday.

Starting with the hosts, despite picking up a dramatic 6-3 win at home to Montreal last time out, Colorado still find themselves say at the foot of the Western Conference. With their victory last weekend just their first since the 27th of June, Head Coach Conor Casey still has a huge headache regarding his sides’ continued defensive issues. Holding the second-worst defensive record in either conference, they have now shipped six goals in just their last two appearances and they have also recorded just a single clean sheet in their last 10 outings. Also losing three of their last four matches in Denver, Sunday could prove to be another extremely tough contest for Colorado.

As for the visitors, while Colorado might be continuing to struggle with their consistency, San Jose have continued to shine in the second half of the season. Handed the chance to leapfrog Minnesota to second spot in the Western Conference, Matías Almeyda’s side find their confidence the highest it has been in recent memory. Transforming into arguably the MLS’ surprise package this year after finishing rock-bottom of the West last season. Now enjoying an unbeaten run that stems back to the 4th of July, San Jose also caught the eye as they secured back-to-back 3-1 wins over Colorado and Vancouver last month.
