Bologna’s good form continued as they defeated Fiorentina 2-0 in the Serie A on Tuesday.

Stefano Pioli’s side are now unbeaten in seven matches and they followed up a 3-0 win at Inter Milan with another impressive performance against Fiorentina.

Former West Ham forward Alessandro Diamanti gave Bologna the lead on the half-hour mark and it was an advantage that they doubled before the half-time break.

Gaston Ramirez was the scorer of the second goal, with Marco Di Vaio laying on the assist just two minutes before half-time.

Fiorentina’s task of winning went from difficult to almost impossible after Uruguayan Ruben Olivera was given a straight red card just five minutes into the second half.

Bologna held on for a comfortable victory and they now sit 14th and are just goal difference behind Fiorentina, who sit two places above them.
