Sheffield Wednesday 1/1 to beat Bolton in Saturday’s Championship matchup

Competition: Championship

Market: Sheffield Wednesday to beat Bolton

Odds: 1/1 @ Bet365

The Championship is back with a bumper weekend of games that will see the table change massively by the end of the match-week. One side that will be looking to close the gap on themselves and the top teams is Sheffield Wednesday, while Bolton Wanderers will be looking to pick up their first win of the season.

Bolton have been woeful this campaign. They are yet to win a game, while their only points have come from two draws, meaning their other nine games have ended in defeat. There would likely be more talk about their abject start had it not have been for Crystal Palace in the Premier League, who are yet to take a point from any team this season. Bolton will be desperate to turn the corner following the international break, but it is difficult to see where the goals will come from, with the hosts finding the back of the net just four times this season.

The visitors, on the other hand, have been in decent form this season. Two wins, two defeats and a draw in their last five has seen their steady start continue and they currently sit in 12th place with 16 points. Wednesday are just eight points short of Cardiff at the top, while they are five behind arch-rivals Sheffield United, who currently sit in third place. A win on Saturday may see that gap closed, with Wednesday desperate to usurp their rivals into a playoff spot. With this in mind, Bet365 are giving Sheffield Wednesday 1/1 odds of beating lowly Bolton.
