Fiorentina have reportedly accepted an offer of 1.2 million euros from Boca Juniors for Santiago Silva.

The Uruguayan forward only arrived at the Artemio Franchi before the 2011/12 Serie A season.

But having failed to nail down a regular place in Fiorentina’s starting line-up, he is now desperate to return to South America.

His situation is complicated by the fact that he has already played for two clubs in the past year, having made two appearances for former club and Boca rivals Velez Sarsfield before joining Fiorentina.

But according to TyC Sports, Boca have reached an agreement with the Viola and now intend to seek special dispensation from FIFA to complete the transfer.

Silva, who has never been capped by his country, has scored just one goal in 12 league appearances for Fiorentina.
