Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder is hopeful of being fit for Saturday’s Serie A clash with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Dutchman took a knock during Wednesday’s 4-4 draw with Palermo at San Siro and was replaced mid-way through the second half.
However, despite initial fears that Sneijder might be facing another significant spell on the sidelines, the playmaker revealed on his Twitter page that he is likely to be available for this weekend’s trip to the Italian capital.
“Fortunately it’s nothing serious,” the 27-year-old wrote.
“Now I hope to be able to play in Rome. Thank you for all your support. Good day to you all.”
Sneijder only returned to the Inter first team last month following eight weeks on the sidelines with a muscular problem.
