Competition: MLS

Market: Draw

Odds: 17/4 @ Bet365

With a win on Monday guaranteeing them top spot in the Western Conference, Sporting Kansas City will welcome Minnesota United to Children’s Mercy Park.

For Peter Vermes’ Sporting Kansas City side, The Wizards have enjoyed an impressive start to life in the Western Conference and if Kansas can continue their impressive form of late on Monday, they will leapfrog Dallas into top spot. While Vermes’ side have now only lost one of their last 12 MLS matches, a run stemming back to March, The Wizards are coming off the back of consecutive draws and also only earned a point in the reverse fixture with Minnesota at the TCF Bank Stadium. If they are to steal top spot, The Whites will be looking for forward Johnny Russel to once again find his finish touch, Kansas City’s top scorer has now not found the net in his last seven.

As for Carl Craig’s Minnesota United side, The Loons are now coming off the back of a 2-0 win at home to Montreal Impact and have now won three of their last six after embarking on a five-match losing run. If the visitors are to improve on their ninth-place finish, Craig’s side must improve on their form on the road. While their last three meetings against Sporting Kansas have ended in a draw, Minnesota have lost their last four matches away for the TCF Bank Stadium in a row and have also conceded three or more goals in three of those defeats.
