Sporting Kansas City have announced the capture of Haitian midfielder Soni Mustivar on their official website.

The 25-year-old has joined the club from Romanian side Petrolul Ploiesti and will be added to the roster following the receipt of International Transfer Certificate and P-1 Visa.

Mustivar was born in France and began his professional career at Bastia, where he played for the senior side between 2008 and 2011, making 21 league appearances.

Following a loan stint with Orleans, the midfielder moved to Romania, signing for Petrolul Ploiesti, where he has remained for the next three years.
