Stoke 13/5 to beat Crystal Palace in Saturday’s Premier League encounter

Competition: Premier League

Market: Stoke to beat Crystal Palace

Odds: 13/5 @ Bet365

The Premier League is back this weekend with another round of games. Manchester City may have maintained their huge lead over the chasing pack, but things are incredibly competitive elsewhere, with just a few points separating a number of teams. Indeed, the bottom-half of the table is one area in which is exceptionally close, with Stoke City a side very much in a relegation battle, and they travel to face bottom side Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Crystal Palace have been in awful form this season and they are the favourites to go down. After 12 games they have accumulated just five points, winning once, drawing twice and losing nine times. Six goals scored and 24 conceded is an abysmal return, although they have managed to take all five of their points in their last five games. The influence of Roy Hodgson is starting to take effect as Palace looked far better against Everton last week, although the Toffees are struggling too. A win on Saturday could be the kickstart their campaign needs.

For Stoke, it has been a tough season. After 12 games they have won just three times, drawing four games and losing five times, which is a poor return. 13 points means they are just four clear of West Ham in 18th and relegation is a very real prospect. In their last three games there has been an improvement though, with Mark Hughes’ men winning once and drawing twice. With both sides in desperate need of a victory, we are backing Stoke to win with odds of 13/5 from Bet365.
