Competition: Premier League
Market: Sunderland to be relegated
Odds: 1/3 @ Bet 365

Sunderland suffered late heartbreak against West Ham United on Saturday, conceding in the dying minutes to be robbed of a point at the Olympic Stadium.

The result keeps the Black Cats rooted to the foot of the Premier League table without a win to their name this season, and a large gap to safety is getting bigger week after week.

David Moyes side are bottom of the Premier League with two points from a possible 27 this season, having suffered five defeats in their last six. Sunderland have scored the fewest amount of goals, and have the third-worst defensive record, and are currently five points adrift from safety already.

Sunderland haven’t enjoyed a turnaround in fortunes on home soil either, picking up just one point from four games at the Stadium of Light, conceding nine goals, and many believe the Black Cats could suffer relegation this season as a result. Hull City and Swansea City join them in the relegation zone, but Sunderland look doomed early on.

As a result, Bet 365 are giving odds of 1/3 for Sunderland to suffer relegation from the Premier League this season with how poorly they’ve begun the campaign.
