With Sunderland going down to a 5-1 defeat last night against Tottenham, they remain bottom of the table with games running out to save their Premier League status. As the Black Cats are currently seven points adrift of safety with seven games still to play, they look in big danger of the drop come May.
Betfair are giving odds of 2/11 for the North-East outfit to go down with a horrible run in to come that will likely see them fail in their bid to escape relegation. Everton, Manchester City, and Chelsea are their next three league matches to come which is unlikely to see them amass even a single point based on their current form.
The North-East side haven’t won a game since the start of February. They look out of steam and unable to arrest their slide. The challenge ahead of them looks an impossible one as they will likely need to win five or their seven remaining games to stand a chance of survival.
Sunderland were safe only a couple of months ago, but a wicked run of results now means they are big favourites to be the first side down this season.
