Paris Saint-Germain defender Marcos Ceara has played down Javier Pastore’s reaction to being substituted in Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Lille.
Pastore was hauled off 10 minutes from the end of the dour Ligue 1 stalemate at the Parc des Princes and looked less than happy with coach Antoine Kombouare’s decision.
But Ceara believes that the Argentine playmaker was more upset with himself than anybody else.
“I do not think he was angry with the substitution,” the Brazilian told Maxifoot.
“Maybe he was angry with himself because you always want to make a difference. Because he could not do that, he may have been annoyed with himself.”
Pastore joined PSG from Palermo during the summer in a deal worth 35.2 million pounds. The 22-year-old has made 16 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, scoring six goals.
