Three clubs keeping tabs on Lopez

A report from the Metro suggests that Athletico Madrid striker Adriano Lopez may be on the move in the next transfer window as he is still undecided whether to sign a new contract at the Spanish club.

It is thought that Lopez wants to be guaranteed first-team football and at the moment, is not happy living in the shadow of Radamel Falcao – who is in superb form right now.

He does still have three years left on his current deal, but has been offered new terms and is yet to agree to them.

This news is likely to put English Premier League sides Tottenham and Arsenal on alert, who were both keen on signing Lopez in the summer transfer window.

Athletico’s La Liga rivals Barcelona are also set to keep tabs on the 24-year-old, who still has a £14.5 million release clause on his current deal at the club.

There is no doubt that the Spaniard is a talent and would be a good addition to one of these teams. If he does want to move on in January, then a number of clubs across Europe could come in for him, sparking a bidding war and it could come down to who has the most cash.
