Competition: Premier League
Market: Next manager to leave post
Odds: 7/2 @ Betfair

As Tottenham saw their top-four hopes all-but-eradicated against Arsenal this weekend, attentions once again drew to the club owner Daniel Levy – who has looking typically glum – and disappointed manager Tim Sherwood.

While Tottenham made a great account of themselves in the North London derby, defeat has been a regular occurrence when coming up against a top-4 side this season, and their record against the league’s big-boys is a real worry. As a result, it’s likely Sherwood will be taking the axe in the summer, and Betfair are giving odds of 7/2 for the Spurs manager to be the next to leave.

It has been a bad couple of weeks for Sherwood. Tottenham have lost back-to-back league games to Chelsea & Arsenal without scoring. They lost at home to Benfica 3-1 in midweek, and now it’s looking like their season will end with them finishing in a EuropaLeague place in the table, but crashing out of Europe when they face Benfica in the second leg.

They face the Portuguese table-toppers this week, but unless Sherwood can turn around a two-goal deficit, it’s unlikely there is anything he can do to keep his job past the summer.
