Norwich City transfer target Ola Toivonen has admitted that he knows “very little” about the Carrow Road outfit.

The Swedish striker, who plays for Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven, has been linked with a move to the Premier League club, who are reported to have offered in the region of five million pounds for his services.

Toivonen would provide additional depth to manager Chris Hughton’s attacking options, which will also be bolstered by Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel, who signed from Sporting Lisbon in January, when pre-season training resumes.

But the 26-year-old, who has been on international duty recently, revealed that his knowledge of his prospective employers is limited.

He told Sky Sports: “I really do not know – what I have at home is not the right TV channels.

“I only have Canal Digital, so I have not seen a Premier League match this year. So I can tell you very little about Norwich City.

“I have already said that it is an interesting competition, the Premier League, but it is about what the club is all about. That plays an important role. I do not like too many high balls.”

Toivonen has scored 77 goals in 175 appearances in all competitions for PSV since signing from Swedish side Malmo in 2008.
