Tottenham are hoping to build on their impressive Europa League victory with a win against strugglers Newcastle this afternoon. The Londoners, currently 10th in the table, could go 5th with a win today. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have only won once in the league in their last six games.

Newcastle won their last Premier League outing at home to Leicester City, and are now hoping to build on their mini upturn in form. It won’t be easy, however, as the Magpies were thrashed 4-0 in their last league meeting against Tottenham when the two sides locked horns at White Hart Lane.

United’s last win away to Tottenham was back in March 2008, when the Toon Army emerged 4-1 victors. Today’s meeting could be a little different as Newcastle’s away form has been atrocious. Alan Pardew’s side have won just twice on their travels in the whole of 2014, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 7/10 for Tottenham to get all three points against Newcastle today as a result.
