Tottenham set for fire sale

Tottenham Hotspur manager Maurico Pochettino is ready to sell a section of his squad as he looks to freshen things at White Hart Lane, according to the Mail Online.

Vlad Chiriches, Andros Townsend, Aaron Lennon and Paulinho have made just four starts between them so far this season and are among those deemed surplus to requirements, while fresh moves for Southampton duo Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez are expected to materialise when the transfer window reopens in January.

The North London side were defeated by Stoke City yesterday afternoon – their third defeat in four league games and fifth of the season so far.

They now sit down in twelfth place, though they are just four points behind West Ham United who currently occupy the final Champions League qualification spot.

Spurs travel to Hull City after the international break, where they can be backed at 21/10 to take all three points.
