Two sides who are seeking some stability in the early hours of Thursday morning, LA Galaxy will welcome FC Dallas to Dignity Health Sports Park in midweek.

Starting with the hosts, while LA Galaxy might have thought they had managed to turn a real corner when ending June thanks to those back-to-back victories against San Jose and Vancouver, they came crashing back down to earth earlier in the week. Still ruing a string of missed chances and failing to find a much-needed clinical edge in the final third, The Whites were hit with a 2-0 defeat against Sporting KC on home soil. Losing ground in the Western Conference title chase, Head Coach Greg Vanney will have a recent headache over his side’s problems at Dignity Health Sports Park. Despite a real flurry when opening the 2021 campaign, the former MLS champions have suffered back-to-back defeats in Carson, their worst run in 2021.

As for the visitors, managing to mount a stunning comeback at home against Vancouver earlier in the week, Dallas will be desperate to build off of that display. Eventually snatching a last-gasp point thanks to an injury-time equaliser, The Hoops have gained a reputation for their rather glaring inconsistencies since opening the 2021 campaign. Failing to build off of that shock victory against a high-flying New England when drawing an end to June, Head Coach Luchi Gonzalez has seen his side win just one of their last eight MLS matchups, a run that stems back to May 2nd. Firmly battling it out at the foot of the Western Conference, it should be noted that Dallas have lost each of their last four straight fixtures on the road, recording just a single strike on that dreadful away run.
