United set to make Forster bid

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has admitted that Fraser Forster could be sold to Manchester United when the transfer window reopens in January, the Metro understands.

The 25 year old has established himself as one of the most promising goalkeepers in Europe, displaying his potential at the highest level in Champions League clashes with the likes of AC Milan and Barcelona.

United boss David Moyes in known to be a fan of the former Newcastle United youth player, and could be set to make a £6m offer.

Forster’s form has seen him work his way into Roy Hodgson’s England squad, and he is almost certain to be part of the squad for next summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil though he is yet to win his first cap, having been an unused substitute on eight occasions.

The 6ft7” man has also had loan spells with Norwich City, Bristol City and Stockport County.
