Van Marwijk names two debutants

Bert van Marwijk has included two new names in his Netherlands squad that will face England at Wembley on Wednesday.

Twente’s Ola John and Luciano Narsingh of Heerenveen, both wingers, have caught the former Feyenoord boss’ eye with a string of impressive performances at club level to earn a maiden call-up.

A number of key figures in Van Marwijk’s squad will be in familiar surroundings, with a total of seven players currently plying their trade in the English Premier League, including leading scorer Robin van Persie of Arsenal.

Despite a poor run of form recently, which has led to him being dropped from Bayern Munich’s starting line-up, there is a place in the squad for midfielder Arjen Robben.
