Competition: MLS

Market: Vancouver Whitecaps win

Odds: 13/5 @ Bet 365

Simply looking to end their campaign on a high, Vancouver will welcome Real Salt Lake to the BC Place Stadium on Sunday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Vancouver may have already lifted the wooden spoon in the Western Conference, fans around the BC Place Stadium should take some solace in their side’s end to the year. Picking up a dramatic 4-3 win over play-off finalists LA Galaxy on home soil last weekend, Marc Dos Santos’ men are unbeaten in their last three appearances, their brightest run since June. Also showing some much-needed improvements in British Columbia and a 3-1 defeat against league leaders NYCFC their only home loss since July, Vancouver should be confident of ending their campaign on a high this weekend.

As for the visitors, while Real Salt Lake may have ended their three-match winless run against Houston last weekend, they are in search of some much-needed momentum before heading into the play-offs. A huge part of their issues at the back end of the campaign has come down to their continued problems outside of Utah. Remarkably, Freddy Juarez’s men have recorded just a single victory on their travels since way back on the 12th of May. Also suffering a 2-0 loss the last time they made the trip to the BC Place Stadium, we’re backing Vancouver to come away with maximum points this weekend.
