The 23-year-old has developed into one of league’s top forwards and has scored a total of 31 goals in last two league campaigns.
Having also bagged 2 goals in 3 matches in the new season, the former France Under-21 international has caught the eye of top European clubs.
And while Barcelona are also believed to be keeping close tabs, it is Villarreal that have emerged as favourites for the player’s signature.
The Yellow Submarine could make their move before the summer transfer window closes, with Toulouse reportedly prepared to consider any serious offer.
Wissam Ben Yedder joined le Tefece from UJA Alfortville in 2010 and he needed a while to nail down a regular starting berth.
Having continued with impressive displays in French Ligue 1, it is only a matter of time before he breaks into the national team.
