Walcott in line for new Arsenal deal

Theo Walcott is set to hold talks over a new long-term deal with Arsenal, according to the Mail Online.

The forward came off the bench for the final ten minutes of the Gunners’ 3-0 win over Burnley on Saturday afternoon having missed the past ten months with an ACL injury, and is set to be in the squad to face Anderlecht in this evening’s Champions League clash.

His current deal is set to expire at the end of next season and the North London club are keen to conclude all negotiations before the 2015/16 campaign begins.

Since moving to the Emirates Stadium from Southampton in 2005, the England international has racked up two hundred and eighty-two appearances in all competitions, scoring sixty nine goals while he has also won thirty-six camps for his country.

Arsenal could seal qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League this evening, and they are currently priced at 25/1 to win the competition outright.
