West Ham 6/5 to beat Cardiff in Saturday’s Premier League clash

Competition: Premier League

Market: West Ham win

Odds: 6/5 @ Bet 365

Slipping back into the relegation zone and in real danger of booking an immediate return to the Championship, Cardiff will host a revitalized West Ham on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, slipping to another worrying display in their 2-0 defeat away at Wolves last weekend, Neil Warnock’s side now find themselves sat two points adrift of safety. Enduring a three-match losing run, the former QPR boss will be growing more concerned by his sides showing in both ends of the pitch. Now finding the net just one in over 300 minutes of Premier League action, the Blues Birds have also begun leaking goals at the other end. Cardiff have conceded 10 goals in just their last three outings and their form in South Wales has really begun to stall. Saturday’s hosts have now recorded just victory in their last six matches at the Cardiff City Stadium, a run that stems back to the start of December.

As for the visitors, while West Ham may have struggled with their consistency throughout the season, Manuel Pellegrini’s side have shown some real improvements of late. Picking up a 2-0 win at home to Newcastle, the Londoners’ 1-0 loss to Manchester City last month is their only defeat in their last five outings. With the chance to move within touching distance of the European positions, the mood in West Ham’s camp will be on a high. With the Hammers picking up a 3-1 win when the two sides met in the reverse fixture, we’re backing a similar result on Saturday afternoon.
