West Ham co-owner David Sullivan is keen to sign loan striker Andy Carroll on a permanent deal.

The 24-year old is due to return to parent club Liverpool at the end of the season, but Sullivan is hopeful the club can strike a deal for the England international.

Carroll has scored seven goals in 24 Premier League appearances this season and a string of impressive performances have seen him win consecutive Player of the Month awards at the club.
“We would love to keep him (Carroll) beyond this season and we will soon be sitting down with Andy and Liverpool to make some progress on that front,” Sullivan said.
“Andy has battled back from injury twice to put in a series of tireless shifts for the team. His game is about so much more than just scoring goals.
“He is so often the focal point of everything good we do going forward.”
Team-mate and former Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole echoed those sentiments and is keen to see Carroll retained on West Ham’s playing staff.
“West Ham definitely want to keep Andy Carroll,” Cole commented.
“I don’t know the ins and outs of the deal but the way he’s been playing in the last couple of weeks you can understand why Liverpool paid 35 million pounds for him a couple of years ago.
“I think all the boys want him to stay at West Ham. He’s (his own) man, though, and he has his own agenda.”
