March 5th: Tuesday’s Championship Double – 6/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

As the Championship title chase really starts to heat up, it appears that things could be going down to the wire in England’s second-tier.

With the top-four contenders all looking to secure a lucrative Premier League return in 2024, we have a host of eye-catching affairs throughout Tuesday night.

With the likes of Leeds and Ipswich stealing centre stage, we have found a couple of Championship betting markets that could offer a great return for your Tuesday flutter.

19:45 Leeds vs Stoke

While Leeds might have lost their premier League status last season, Daniel Farke’s men have their sights firmly set on securing an immediate top-flight return in 2024. Although Tuesday’s hosts might have been disappointed over the weekend as they eventually had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate against Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield, the Whites will be excited to make a return to Elland Road here.

Opening the midweek fixtures sat just two points adrift of breaking back into the automatic promotion spots, the former Norwich boss will be hugely excited by his side’s continued success on home soil.

Last seen at Elland Road claiming a stunning 3-1 victory against runaway leaders Leicester, Leeds have won all of their previous six Championship battles in front of their own supporters by an aggregate score of 16-2.

Handed what has been a golden opportunity in midweek, Patrick Bamford should also be looking to extend on his own recent flurry.

Snatching a point for Farke’s men over the weekend after finding the net away at Huddersfield, the 30-year-old has recorded eight goals across all competition since opening the New Year.

While Stoke might have sprung an upset over the weekend as they secured a 2-0 victory at home against Middlesbrough, the Potters are desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on.

However, still at the heart of a relegation scrap and coming under a huge amount of scrutiny this season, Steven Schumacher’s men couldn’t have wished for a tougher challenge on Tuesday night.

In fact, along with suffering a 2-1 defeat against Cardiff in their most recent trip away from the bet365 Stadium, Stoke have lost eight of their previous 10 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to New Year’s Day.

20:00 Ipswich vs Bristol City

While Ipswich might have opened the New Year in the midst of a real wobble, the Blues have come roaring back in a sensational fashion. Although Kieran McKenna’s men might have only made their Championship return this season, Tuesday’s hosts are enjoying what has been a public fairytale and they have their sights firmly set on clinching a top-two finish in 2024.

With the mood around Portman Road at a famous high, the former Manchester United coach will know the importance of making another statement here.

Last seen over the weekend clinching a routine 2-0 victory away at Plymouth, Ipswich have won all of their previous five straight Championship appearances and they will certainly be smelling another golden opportunity on Tuesday night.

Continuing to gain a fearsome reputation for their free-scoring performances in the final third, the red-hot Kieffer Moore should have a leading role to play here.

Once again finding the net away at Plymouth on Saturday afternoon and making an immediate impact since completing a January switch from Bournemouth, the Welsh international has notched five goals in his first seven Championship outings.

On the flip side, putting in another toothless display over the weekend as they eventually suffered a 1-0 defeat at home against Cardiff, Liam Manning’s side have struggled to find any kind of stability this season.

Still battling it out in the bottom-half of the Championship table, Tuesday’s guests have lost all of their previous three Championship appearances by an aggregate score of 4-1.

Likewise, suffering penalties heartbreak away at Nottingham Forest last month as they watched their FA Cup adventure come to an abrupt end, it should also be noted that the Robins have claimed just a single victory from any of their previous eight showdowns away from Ashton Gate.
