Odds: 1/1 @ Bet365

After another disappointing year in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg, the Wolves will be hoping a good run of form will help them end their season on a high. On Friday night, Augsburg will travel to the Volkswagen Arena.

After finishing second just three years ago, Wolfsburg have drastically fallen down the table and for the second season on the bounce, the Wolves look set to only just avoid relegation to Bundesliga B. While Bruno Labbadia will be the first to admit that the Greens have had another disappointing season, the Wolves have shown some brief signs of life after picking up a 2-0 win against Freiburg last time out. Now unbeaten in their last two outings without shipping a goal in either match, Wolfsburg are desperate for a late push to midtable. Wolfsburg will be looking for forward Daniel Didavi to carry on from las time out, scoring both goals against Freiburg Didavi has eight goals and five assists this year.

For Manuel Baum’s Augsburg side, since being promoted from Bundesliga B last season, the Whites have enjoyed a record-breaking season in Germany’s top tier with the chance of a top half finish still on the cards, Augsburg’s success can be put down to Alfred Finnbogason, the striker has 11 goals for this season. However, while Baum’s side may only sit outside the top half of the table due to their goal difference, the Whites has begun to struggle of late and are instead looking down the table. With just one win in their last eight outings, defensively Augsburg have shown their major issues. Augsburg have kept just one clean sheet since February.
