Wolfsburg join chase for Son

German daily Sport Bild is reporting that VfL Wolfsburg are readying summer bid for Hamburg starlet Heung-Min Son.

The South Korean has just one year left on his deal at Imtech Arena and is widely tipped to leave in the summer transfer window.

He has been the subject of interest from England’s top clubs as well as Borussia Dortmund, but Sport Bild has suggested that Wolfsburg are also keen.

According to the same source, the Wolves are readying a €10 million bid and a five-year deal for the player worth around €3 million per campaign.

The talented forward is unlikely to be too tempted with the offer from Volkswagen Arena, but Wolfsburg chiefs are doing their best to take advantage of the fact other interested sides have yet to make their interest concrete.

Heung-Min Son, 20, has enjoyed a very successful season at Imtech Arena, scoring 12 goals in 33 Bundesliga matches.
