Wolverhampton Wanderers want to sign Pape Gueye

Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Pape Gueye from Marseille in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that Ligue 1 club Marseille are open to selling Gueye in the final days of the window, and that Premier League outfit Wolves are keen on securing his services.

Gueye has been on the books of Marseille since 2020 and had a loan spell at Marseille in 2023. The 25-year-old Senegal international defensive midfielder has made three substitute appearances in Ligue 1 this season. He is playing for Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations at the moment.

Wolves are 11th in the Premier League table at the moment with 29 points from 21 matches. Meanwhile, Marseille currently find themselves seventh in the Ligue 1 table with 28 points from 18 matches.
