Wolves 8/11 to beat Huddersfield in Tuesday’s Premier League clash

Competition: Premier League

Market: Wolves win

Odds: 8/11 @ Bet 365

Universally tipped for the drop this season, rock-bottom Huddersfield will host European contenders Wolves at the John Smith Stadium on Tuesday night.

Starting with the Terriers, despite turning to Jan Siewert last month, Huddersfield have shown no signs of improvements under the former Borussia Dortmund coach. Slumping to a 2-0 loss away at Newcastle over the weekend, Tuesday’s hosts have now picked up just two wins this season and are 14 points adrift of safety. Along with now losing their last seven matches at the John Smith’s Stadium, a run that stems back to the middle of November, it has been Huddersfield’s form in the final third that has been their biggest issue this season. Recording just 14 goals this campaign, they have also scored just one goal in over 650 minutes of action.

As for the visitors, while Wolves may have only picked up a point against Bournemouth over the weekend, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are enjoying an eight-match unbeaten run. Booking their spot in the quarterfinals of this year’s FA Cup, one man to watch for the visitors on Tuesday will be leading goalscorer, Raul Jimenez. Finding the net at the Vitality on Saturday, the 27-year-old has four in his last four Premier League appearances. Given the huge gulf in class between the two sides, we’re backing a comfortable win for the European contenders.
