Wolves lead race to sign Lemar

According to a recent report from AS, Wolverhampton Wanderers are leading the race to sign Atletico Madrid star Thomas Lemar.

The 24-year-old has been in Spain since back in 2018 when he moved over from Monaco, but now, it appears as if he’s ready to test the waters with something new. If he doesn’t wind up leaving then it seems pretty likely he’ll be heading to the Premier League, with the ‘race’ in question largely being contested by clubs from English football’s top flight.

With Wolves completing two big signings in the last few days, many fans have been waiting to see whether or not they would add some more depth in the middle of the park. The lack of numbers in their squad clearly affected them as the season drew on, but if they can land someone like Lemar, it could take their club to a whole new level in the eyes of the masses.
