With many tipping them as the greatest team in Swiss history, a high-flying Young Boys will travel to Kybunpark on Wednesday evening.

Starting with the hosts, after coming off the back of a 1-0 loss away at Lugano last week, former Salzburg boss Peter Zeidler will be growing more concerned by his sides’ inconsistencies at the back end of the season. Slipping out of the Europa League spots and dropping behind both Zurich and Thun, a huge part of their issues lately have come down to their form at Kybunpark. Wednesday’s hosts have managed to record just a single victory in front of their own supporters since the 3rd of March, a six-match run. Losing each of their last seven matches against the defending champions, Wednesday could prove to be another extremely tough test for St. Gallen.

As for the visitors, putting six past Grasshopper last weekend and now holding a 23-point buffer at the top of the Super League table, many have branded Young Boys as the best team in Swiss history. Reclaiming their league crown with time to spare, it will undoubtedly be their form in the final third that has most impressed Head Coach Gerardo Seoane. Bagging an astonishing 94 points and still dreaming of becoming Centurians this year, one man to watch in midweek will be leading goalscorer, Guillaume Hoarau. The 35-year-old recorded a brace against Grasshopper’s last time out and his 26 goals this season see him in pole position to lift the Golden Boot.
