Zaha linked with Palace return

Crystal Palace are close to securing a deal to bring Wilfried Zaha back to the club, according to the Mirror.

New Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is willing to let the winger leave this summer, after an underwhelming 2013/14, the second half of which he spent on loan at Cardiff City.

The 21 year old, who was Sir Alex Ferguson’s final signing at United, made just two league appearances for the club under previous manager David Moyes, while he also turned out once in the League Cup and in the Community Shield victory over Wigan Athletic.

Zaha began his career at Palace, racking up one hundred and forty-three appearances in all competitions before leaving for Old Trafford.

He is now in line for a return for Selhurst Park, though Palace’s Premier League rivals Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers and Championship side Nottingham Forest have also been linked with a move to secure his services.
