According to a recent report from Marca, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has convinced Sergio Ramos to remain at the Bernabeu beyond the summer transfer window. The 33 year old has been heavly linked with moves to both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United during the last few weeks, but following a recent meeting with the Frenchman, he is indeed expected to remain with Real.

It’s no secret that Ramos is one of the most polarising figures in world football today, and to be honest, it never really seemed like leaving Real was a realistic possibility for him. He has become a cult hero at the club ever since he first made an appearance in the senior squad, and despite his many controversies, the work he does both on and off the pitch seems to benefit the club in a way that a lot of outsiders (us included) don’t seem to understand.
