Dutch heavyweights Ajax are prepared to make a move for Boca Juniors defender Lisandro Magallan, Voetbal International has reported.

Having successfully wrapped up deals for Hassane Bande and Perr Schuus, Ajax are keen to reinforce their squad even further and are exploring an opportunity to bring the 24-year-old Argentina defender during winter.

One of the key players for the Argentinean powerhouse, Magallan has been under the close watch of Ajax for quite some time already.

According to the latest reports the talks about a possible move to Europe have already commenced with Ajax confident that a deal could be reached over the next couple of weeks.

Ajax have shifted their focus towards the South American market over the past couple of seasons and are rather keen to get another man to follow in Davinson Sanchez, mateo Casseirra, Luis Orejuela and David Neres’ footsteps.

Lisandro Magallan joined Boca Juniors from Gimnasia La Plata in 2012.
