Arsenal set for Wanyama move

Arsenal are set to make a move for Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama as their injury crisis worsens, according to the Mirror.

The Gunners have previously been linked with a move for the Kenya international but are ready to step up their interest when the transfer window reopens next month.

Francis Coquelin, Mikel Arteta and Santi Cazorla are among those currently unavailable to Arsene Wenger who’s side are currently second favourites to win the Premier League.

Wanyama moved to St. Mary’s Stadium in the summer of 2013, and has so far racked up seventy-nine appearances for the South Coast club in all competitions, scoring three goals while he also has thirty-five caps for his country for whom he also has scored three times.

Arsenal sealed their qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League after beating Olympiakos by three goals to nil on Wednesday evening, and can now be backed at 25/1 to win the competition.
