Bayern starlet set for bumper pay rise

Bayern Munich youngster Gianluca Gaudino is widely expected to be offered a new and improved contract at Alianz Arena, L’Equipe has suggested.

The 17-year-old midfielder has been a real revelation this season having featured in four of five competitive fixtures for the senior team, but his current contract does not reflect his new status.

According to L’Equipe, the talented footballer earns mere €250 per month, which is less than most teammates pocket in an hour.

And with his deal due to expire at the end of the season, Gaudino is set to be offered a contract extension and a significant pay rise.

Having largely impressed in four appearances this season, the youngster is expected to remain a part of the senior squad and could even be handed his Champions League debut tomorrow evening.

Bayern Munich play host to Premier League champions Manchester City, and the Bavarians are 2/3 favourites to claim maximum points.
