David Beckham has received 12 formal offers from around the world as he prepares to make a decision on his future next week.
Among them is an approach from the Qatar Stars League, which is aiming to maximise Beckham’s commercial appeal ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, to be held in the country.
Whatever he chooses, former Manchester United and Real Madrid man Beckham has insisted his family will be based in London.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain have reiterated their interest in signing Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to PSG’s director of football Leonardo, the Ligue 1 leaders are one of just four or five clubs that can realistically be considered potential destinations for the Portuguese star.
Manchester City are interested in signing Napoli’s Edinson Cavani, according to the Premier League assistant coach Angelo Gregucci.
The Uruguayan’s become one of world football’s hottest properties and is Serie A’s top scorer this season, with 16 goals in 16 games.
And Juventus playmaker Andrea Pirlo has said Chelsea’s Frank Lampard would be welcome at the Turin club.
But he added the west London club would be ‘mad’ to let the veteran midfielder leave.
Lampard’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires in June, and it appears unlikely he will be offered a new deal, despite his years of loyal of service and impressive form to date this term.
