Boca Juniors youngster Rodrigo Bentancur has become a target for European giants Real Madrid and Benfica at the moment.

The 18-year-old is the latest impressive product of club’s youth academy and he is already being linked with a big club move.

According to TyC Sports, Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes is close to agreeing a deal for the talented footballer, as he wants to resell him to a top European side.

The same source has suggested that he has agreed a €15 million deal with Boca Juniors chairman Daniel Angelici, with Benfica now the most likely destination for Bentancur.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid are reportedly keen on the Uruguayan as well and they may decide to challenge the Eagles for the midfielder’s signature.

Rodrigo Bentancur has already amassed 25 appearances for the senior side at La Bombonera, scoring his first ever goal in a 4-1 triumph over Newell’s Old Boys.
