Manchester United linked with Genoa forward Albert Gudmundsson

Manchester United are interested in signing Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa in the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The report has claimed that United are among a number of clubs who have been impressed with Gudmundsson, who is available for sale for €30 million.

Gudmundsson is one of the best forwards in Serie A and has been very good for Genoa in recent times. The 26-year-old Iceland international is a versatile player who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward. Gudmundsson has scored 14 goals and given three assists in 32 Serie A matches this season.  It will be interesting to see what he does if United do indeed make an offer for him.

Manchester United are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 54 points from 35 games and now unlikely to play in Europe next season. Meanwhile, Genoa currently find themselves 12th in the Serie A table with 43 points from 35 games.
