Cech praises Hazard, Oscar influence

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has hailed signings Eden Hazard and Oscar after their great starts at Stamford Bridge.

Both acquisitions have immediately settled into Roberto Di Matteo’s side, turning in some impressive performances in helping the Blues sit top of the Premier League table after seven games.

Cech feels the duo has become a fearsome tandem for Chelsea, along with Fernando Torres, and feels the styles of both players complement each other well.

The 30-year-old Cech feels the team spirit at the club has helped Hazard, Oscar and other new arrivals settle at the west London club quickly while contributing positive results on the pitch.

Hazard has two goals and six assists in league play, while Oscar scored twice against Juventus in a UEFA Champions League match.

“You can see that the players who are in our attack have all got used to each other,” Cech told Isport.blesk.cz.

“They are good attuned to each other even if they play together for the first time. Eden is great with his technique and with Oscar they are a dangerous duo.

“Moreover, the Brazilian and Spanish style of football is similar, so even Fernando Torres is used to it. That is why, even if there are a lot of new players, they have found the common language on the pitch.”
