Cedric Bakambu completes China switch

Beijing Guoan have completed the signing of Congolese forward Cedric Bakambu from Villarreal, it has been revealed.

The transfer was finalised on transfer deadline day in China, with Beijing spending whopping €74 million on transfer fee alone, including the 100% government tax.

Meanwhile, Bakambu’s gross wage will be staggering €18 million per season, making him one of the league’s highest paid footballers.

The highly rated forward who had scored 32 goals in 75 La Liga matches, has signed a four-year deal with Beijing Guoan.

The Chinese club also signed Jonathan Viera from Las Palmas, with Jonathan Soriano joining a year earlier.
