Chelsea slap £73m price tag on Courtois

Chelsea have slapped a £73m price tag on Thibaut Courtois to fend off potential suitors, according to the Telegraph.

The goalkeeper, who helped the Blues to the Premier League title in his first season in their first team, has been linked with a move to Real Madrid though Chelsea are not interested in selling.

Prior to breaking into the Chelsea first team, the 23 year old spent three seasons on loan with Atletico Madrid where he won the Copa del Rey, Europa League and La Liga title while he also clinched the league title with Genk, the side where he began his career.

Internationally, he has thirty caps for Belgium and was part of their squad for last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.

He is line to make his latest appearance for his country as Belgium face Wales in Cardiff on Friday evening, with the away win priced at 8/11.
