The Russian giants are short of options in the centre of the park, especially with veteran midfielder Elvir Rahimic set to retire at the end of the season.
As a result, they are on the lookout for a new holding midfielder and they have set their sights on Napoli starlet Josip Radosevic.
The 20-year-old joined the Azzurri last summer from Hajduk Split, but he has largely struggled for playing time at Stadio San Paolo.
And while Radosevic made six substitute appearances in Serie A, he has spent less than an hour in total on the pitch.
Napoli officials seem to believe he has what it takes to develop into a quality player, but they would probably consider loaning him out at the end of the season.
The Azzurri will be in action on Saturday as they face Udinese at Friuli, with Rafa Benitez’s charges 21/20 favourites to claim maximum points.
