Guangzhou Evergrande moved back to the summit of the Chinese Super League with an entertaining 3-2 win over Shandong Luneng.
Lucas Barrios scored the winner with nine minutes to play after Evergrande had twice led in Sunday’s match.
Cleo opened the scoring and Zheng Zhi was also on target in the second half for Evergrande but both strikes were cancelled out by efforts from Gilberto Macena and Han Peng in either half for Shandong.
The win moves Evergrande three points ahead of Jiangsu Sainty at the top of the league after they lost to Qingdao Jonoon on Saturday.
Hangzhou piled the pressure on bottom-placed Henan Jianye with a precious 3-1 away win pushing them six points clear of the relegation zone.
Strikes from Cao Xuan, Renatinho and a Wang Song penalty, after Chris Katongo’s goal for Henan, consigned the hosts to a third consecutive loss.
Changchun Yatai defeated Guangzhou R and F 2-1 thanks to Liu Weidon’g 69th-minute strike.
Guangzhou’s Zhang Yuan had cancelled out Wang Dong’s goal in the first half.
