English giants vying for Van Dijk, Rudiger

England’s top clubs are hot on the trail of three talented central defenders, according to Catalan daily newspaper Sport.

The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool all have same footballers on their radar when it comes to defensive reinforcements.

The first of those is Benfica stopper Victor Nilsson Lindelof, who is reportedly on the verge of moving to Old Trafford in a deal that could rise up to €60 million.

However, Southampton hotshot Virgil van Dijk and AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger are up for grabs and they could be on the move this winter.

The Dutch centre-back has been in excellent form since leaving Celtic for St Mary’s, creating a very good defensive partnership with Jose Fonte.

Meanwhile, Antonio Rudiger recovered well from a difficult injury to prove his worth in Italian Serie A, and he, too, is on the radar of quite a few high-profile clubs.
