Gervinho: I want to stay at Arsenal

Arsenal forward Gervinho has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

After a disappointing season in which the Ivorian failed to establish himself as a regular starter at the Emirates Stadium, he has targeted an improvement in the next campaign.

As well as wanting to become a fixture Arsene Wenger’s line-up, Gervinho also wants to remain at the club for some years to come.

“I have a contract until 2015 with Arsenal and I intend to honour it,” he told Sky Sports.

“There is always speculation in the papers, but I am looking forward to a good holiday and to come back to Arsenal.

“I want to win my place in the starting line-up week in, week out.”

, who made just 12 appearances for Arsenal last season, has been linked with a return to the Grand Stade Lille Metropole or Turkish side Fenerbahce.
