Inter lead chase for Kostas Manolas

Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Inter Milan have emerged as favourites to land AS Roma defender Kostas Manolas.

The Nerazzurri have already started spending the money of their wealthy new owners and with team’s results improving considerably of late, the heavy spending looks set to continue.

Having reinforced the midfield department in the last two transfer windows, the time has come for new defenders.

Inter Milan were hoping to bring Marquinhos to Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, but with PSG highly unlikely to sell, they are believed to have turned their attention towards Kostas Manolas.

It is no secret that AS Roma are ready to cash in on their star player, and the Nerazzurri appear to have already persuaded the stopper to join them in the summer.

They obviously need to agree on the transfer fee with their league rivals, but there should be no obstacles to Manolas moving to Giuseppe Meazza at the end of the season.
