Tottenham Hotspur defender Younes Kaboul was added to the France squad on Monday ahead of the friendly international against England at Wembley here on Wednesday.

France coach Laurent Blanc drafted in Kaboul as cover for Roma centre-back Philippe Mexes, who suffered a calf injury last weekend.

Kaboul, 24, has yet to make his senior international debut although he did make 18 appearances for France’s Under-21s.

He will be one of five England-based players in the France squad alongside Chelsea’s Florent Malouda and the Arsenal trio of Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna and Samir Nasri.
